How Long Does Marijuana Remain In The System During Pregnancy?

I m 35 weeks pregnant and due at 39 weeks via induction. I smoked some weed because I couldn t hold any food down but now I m terrified it won t be out of my system in time. I m taking prenatals daily and drinking about a gallon of water a day, is that enough to clean my system out before my due date?

As per your query, you have marijuana addiction and yes, smoking marijuana during pregnancy could affect the fetus in many ways and it could affect since the first trimester till last trimester. It could result in low birth weight babies, miscarriage, abortion. It can cause a growth problem in the fetus as well. It will lower down the immunity of your body as well as that of incoming fetus and susceptibility to certain infectious diseases.

I would suggest you stop it immediately. If it is giving you much addiction taper the dose and eventually stop. Elimination depends on the weight of the individual, liver function, kidney function, and other physiological factors. It varies from 10 days to 60 days in different individuals depending upon metabolism.
