How Long Do Palpitations Take To Get Treated After Taking A Beta Blocker?
I was just prescribed a beta blocker for heart palpitations that I have been experiencing. Was in the ER four days ago and showed no signs of a heart attack (enzyme test) how quickly does this medication work? the heart palpitations are scary and I m not sure how long to wait to see any results. I thought it was a thyroid problem (which I take levothyroxine, 88 mcg)

take ECG and consult cardiologist for examination and advise on-treatment. you require monitoring for beta blocker and regulation of dose.you should not think about reason of your problem and start taking investigation. leave it to doctors to decide
