How Long Do I Have To Leave The Gum Coating On?

I had a lower,second from back tooth extracted the day before Thanksgiving.The oral surgeon covered the socket and sutures with a gum coating.I left this on and have no problems healing.No instructions mention this gum protection.Leave it on till I see surgeon on 12/10?

Hello, Thank you for consulting with HCM.
There is nothing to worry about it as the dentist must have prescribed medications to prevent infection.
You just have to rinse your mouth with warm saline gargles after 24 hours of removal of teeth and keep the area clean.
Visit the dentist on the appointment as for removal of suture.
