How Long Can Infection In Sinus Canal Take To Heal?

I had top teeth pulled and intended to put implant denture but during X-ray was told my nasal canal was to low to install implants at this time so we went with a upper denture, this was a week ago today went back to dentist yesterday due to stitches dissolving and then starting having a puss coming from the hole, he cut hole open and held my nose and made me blow and lord the Nasty puss that came out he says my sinus canal was punctured and caused sinus infection and that s whats draining in my mouth he cleaned up area packed it with something and stitched me back up, put me in more antibiotics and a few other meds, is this something I should worry about and how long will this last
