How Long Can A Person Stay On Bypass Until A Heart Transplant?
A friend had a widow maker heart attack. They tried to place stents in the arteries, unsuccessful. Proceeded to open heart surgery, determined his heart was too damage and that they could not repair it. Still on bypass they transported him to another hospital to proceed with a heart transplant. How long can he stay on bypass, how successful will the transplant be?
