How Long Can Acetaminophen Be Taken?

I take norcor 5-325 acetaminophen 5 for pain twice a day. I ve only taken 2 pills yesterday and will take my second pill tonight. My pain has subsided 75% but I know I ll sleep better if I take another pill tonight. Can this be habit forming even if my last pill will be tonight and I would have taken a total of 4 pills in 2 days?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

I understand your concern.

You can have another pill for tonight to help subside the pain and sleeping better.

It's true that norcor use is associated with habit forming. Do not make a habit to use at high doses for longer periods.
You should keep always in contact with your doctor.

Wish fast recovery.
