How Is Surgical Removal Of A Tumor In The Colon Done?

I had a colonoscopy yesterday, my Dr. Found a tumor on my colon. He called today to say it is biegn but it needs to be surgically removed. I have an appointment tomorrow (Thursday) to schedule the surgery and discuss the procedure. I was hoping you could give me a heads up as what to expect. What does the surgery entail???

it should be confirmed by biopsy. any way itis tobe removed by surgery and biopsy can be done after removal. if malignant then chemotherapy is to be given after consultation with oncologist.
