How Is Penis Examination Done?

Doctor, yesterday I went to the doctor because I had some type of irritation on my penis. The doctor made me undress and checked my gentials thorughly, I got an erection from that, is it normal for a doctor to see this during a physical exam?, I am 36 years old

Hello

Yes, such erection is normal. It can happen particularly if you are getting examined for the first time. During the examination, the patient is asked to undress to expose his private organs. then the doctor see and feel (palpate) the penis and retract the foreskin to see if everything is OK. Do not feel embarrassed.
