How Is A Pregnancy Due Date Calculated?

Hi, my name Vikas, my wife got pregnant as i got to know right now, but i am little confused that whether it is 6 week of pregnancy or just 1 week reason behind last month on 25th was her regular period date, however, it did not come on the same date but there was some waste part coming without bleeding. we assumed that it was her bleeding less period. last week we had sex and after two days she felt very tired and week. i suggested her to check with the Prega news and confirm. she did that and the result was positive. how can i confirm that it is 1-week pregnancy or 6-week.

Hello,

The pregnancy age can be calculated from the last menstrual period if she had regular menstruation. In this case, you will need to calculate how many weeks have passed from the first day of her last menstrual period. It is unlikely a pregnancy test will come out positive if she is only one week pregnant, so very likely she is at least 4 weeks pregnant before the pregnancy test comes out positive.

If her periods have not been regular, then she will need a transvaginal ultrasound that will tell for sure how many weeks her pregnancy is.

I hope this answers your query.
I remain at your disposal for further medical assistance.
