How High Can CEA Levels Go While Suffering From Colon Cancer?

My sister had colon cancer 20 years ago. Her cancer marked has been 1.2;1.3; until recently. It is now 6.7 it has been going up for the pass several months. She she be concerned or is this number not anything to get excited about. How high can the number go?
