How Early Can HIV Infection Be Diagnosed After A Possible Exposure?
I had an exposure to hiv in September of 2015. I took an oral swab in late November of that year-negative. Did another oral in June of 2016-negative. Took ag/an combo blood test at clinic 1 year after exposure-negative. Still feel symptoms, could tests be wrong?
Any HIV test done twelve weeks after the exposure can be considered as conclusive and confirmatory. Moreover, your nonreactive HIV Combo test is done after one year after the exposure clearly ruled out the possibility of both HIV one and two beyond any doubt. Your symptoms are not at all related to HIV. They could be due to something else other than HIV infection. Consult your doctor.
