Dear Doctor, I had sex in the month of aug 2015. I am deep mental stress after that with no proper food. Later in the month of feb 2016 I got admitted in hospital with skin rashes, head ache and vomitings. Doctors tested and confirmed i got meningitis tb and given treatement for 10 days and i am asked to use Forecox tablets for 9 months.Again in the month of jan 2017,i.e. more than 1 year after my exposure to sex I am tested for hiv 1 and hiv 2(Enhanced Chemiluminescence) which is non reactive.please tell me whether my hiv results are conclusive despite all these parameters .will my Tb treatement and immune system include alteration of hiv results because my Wbc count reduced while testing hiv compared to before.please adviceee
The HIV test gee rally becomes positive after 6 weeks of exposure. The maximum it takes is 3 months. So if your test is negative one year after exposure, then this is a confirmation that you do not have HIV. You do not need to be worried about it.
Complete your course of anti-tuberculosis as advised by your doctor and no need to worry about HIV.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Dr. Mahboob Ur Rahman,
