Hi,

The HIV test gee rally becomes positive after 6 weeks of exposure. The maximum it takes is 3 months. So if your test is negative one year after exposure, then this is a confirmation that you do not have HIV. You do not need to be worried about it.

Complete your course of anti-tuberculosis as advised by your doctor and no need to worry about HIV.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Dr. Mahboob Ur Rahman,
