How Does One Get O+ Blood Group In A Family Of Only A+ Blood Group?

My parents have passed away many years ago and I do not know their blood group. Recently I found out that my 5 elder brothers and 2 elder sisters their blood group are A . I am the youngest in the family and I am 63 years of age and I know my blood group is O+. Can you explain why? My second question is if the mother blood group is A and her son is o+, what would be the father blood group. Thanks you. Peter Ngu My email is YYYY@YYYY

HI
Thank for asking to HCM
I really appreciate your concern and form the history I could say that the blood group is genetically decided mostly the offspring have blood group either from of father but this is not always true the blood group of offspring may different from the parents, according to newer blood grouping theories there are many groups have been detected up till now beside the main ABO and these are the subgroups, take care and have a nice day.
