How Does Elevated Troponin Enzyme Affect The Body?

My 65 year old mother suffered a heart failure recently. Her troponin levels are 14.02. I understand the rise in troponin enzyme is because of the damage to the heart muscle. But what do i do with this result. Do higher levels of troponin pose any further damage to the body. Can this level be decreased. And how? Thank you.

Hello,
Thank you for trusting HealthcareMagic for your health concern

Higher troponin level as you said is indicative of heart muscle damage. Troponin by itself will not cause harm
Eventually body will eliminate troponin by itself in few days.
