Salt could be your problem. Are you putting salt on those fruits and veggies? Salt causes blood cells to get all puffy and therefore increase the amount of space they take up in your body. One cell, no big deal, but a whole bunch of 'em and they start putting pressure on the insides of your vascular system.
Try reducing your sodium intake.
