Pathologist and Microbiologist 's  Response
Hello,

Viral fever usually needs 7-10 days to be treated. Treatment is supportive and antibiotic to prevent or treat bacterial infection. Since the fever is not reducing, other possibilities of fever need to be looked.

I suggest you get a complete hemogram. I addition, I suggest you discuss with your pediatrician to conduct investigations to look for other possible causes of fever in pediatric age group.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
