Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My 30 year old daughter has seen a doctor and he has done found her to have a large fibroid that is blocking one of her fallopian tubes. Her hormone level and eggs and etc are normal. She has been trying to get pregnant for 2 years without success. He suggests surgery to remove the fibroid as well as a cyst on her ovary. Neither is life threatening. She would prefer to choose less invasive options, such as natural options to shrink the fibroid. What is your professional opinion regarding removal of the fibroid?
Thanks for your question on Healthcare Magic. I can understand your concern. It is very difficult to treat large fibroid with conservative treatment (drugs). You are also having infertility. So surgical removal of large fibroid is the only option. No need to worry for surgery. It is routinely done now a days. Hope I have solved your query. I will be happy to help you further. Wishing good health to your daughter. Thanks.
