I have just found out that I am pregnant; I’ve been pregnant one other time about 10 years ago, but the pregnancy failed and I was given the pill to induce and clean out the remaining tissue. The pain from that experience was excurtaiting; I was told to insert 4 tablets vaginaly, and wait for my body to react. I was also told to use Tylenol or Ibuprofen for pain - neither of which worked, as the cramping was so extreme I was vomiting uncontrollably and broke out into the worst cold sweat of my life - I can still remember the pain. As I initially stated, I am pregnant again, but the situation with the father is not good, and it would be unhealthy to bring a baby into the mix. I have spoken with a friend who had to use the pill for a miscarriage and she told me she only had to take 1 cytotoxic pill every 4 hours for 24 hours to pass the tissue. Because of this, she did not experience uncontrollabl cramping; they were mush stronger than normal, but not so strong that it caused vomiting and cold sweats. She was also about 9 1/2 weeks pregnant. The clinics that I have looked at all day that 4 dowsed of pills should be taken at once to induce the contractions and push the tissue out. What I am wanting to know, is this an option to take the medication slowly over the course of a day instead of all at once? Also, does taking this medicine orally vs. vaginaly have an effect on the pain level. As I previously said, last time I was told to insert vaginally and it was horrific. If I am able, I would prefer to do the medical abortion, but I don’t want to be in excruciating pain again. I am thinking the pills were too much all at once for my body last time. It seems as though the medicine spread out over a period of time would be a much better option, though I am unsure of why they do not offer it like this at the clinics.
