I recently found out one of my close girlfriends has herpes not sure which kind how do I talk to her about it to get more info such as type, if using and what type of meds used for controlling them, and letting her down gently as to end any possible sexual interactions in future?
dear user about your question i would like to tell you that genital herpes is called hsv2 and it is highly infectious to others thraugh sexual contact even if with protected sex it can be transmiited easly...........it appear as small blisters in the vagina and around it and if oral or sexual contact occur virus is transmitted to other person easily so you should take care of that and advise her not to have any sexual activity untill complete recovery..........about medication of herpes there is antiviral drugs used for that like acyclovir and it has good effect against herpes and improvement occur rapidly..........also she may not need any medication as the immune system can defeat this virus and limit it then recovery occur....my advice to see her doctor and discuss with him about treatment using acyclovir and no sexual activity untill recovery occur.........you need not to get worry.......wish you and her healthy life
