Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I burnt my tongue about 10 days ago and it is not getting better. I tried using Peroxly for a few days and that helped a little some. I am wondering if I should go see my physician and get some sort of antibiotics or other med to help heal the burn. It s at the tip and front of the tongue and it s red and a little lumpy. Very uncomfortable feeling
As per your complain you have problem of burning sensation in tongue that may be because of oral thrush problem or other condition. Nutrition deficiency also cause burning sensation in tongue. Nerve damage also cause this type of symptoms. Poor oral hygiene cause a hyperatrophy of pappilla lead to hairy tongue.
Before diagnosing any thing, oral examination is must. Consult a physician or dentist for further diagnosis. Start a treatment according to the cause.
I hope my guidance is helpful to you. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Rachana Goswami
