How Can Toenail Injury Causing Throbbing And Cyanosis Be Treated?

I injured my large toe on left foot (shoe was too tight and did not know it was injuring toe nail until I took shoe off). It throbbed after show was removed. The nail is dark blue and has loosened almost completely. I keep it clean and use a Q tip to apply hydrogen peroxide to clean it twice per day. Should I see a doctor to have the nail removed? It is not painful - just afraid it may rip off at some point. Thanks so much!!

Hi,Thanks for your query. After going through your query I came to know that you got injury to your toe nail due to tight shoes. It is not painful. I think you are doing what is correct. Let it remain in place and allow to fallen off itself. New nail will grow under it gradually. You can discuss with your treating Doctor about it.I do hope that you have found something helpful. If you have additional questions or follow up queries then please do not hesitate in writing to us.
