How Can The Itchy And Painful Splotches Be Treated?

I had a sudden onset of what seemed to be some sort of insect bites earlier today that have now turned into red, rash looking splotches that are painful and very itchy. I also now have a few hard blisters that are forming and some oozing from some of the splotches. I have taken Benadryl, used hydrocortisone cream, chiggarid, and calamine lotion with no relief at all.

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have itchy and painful splotches which seems to be that fact that you are being exposed and re exposed to the allergen and due or excessive sunlight exposure. It is very important to find out exact cause with the help of various diagnostic tests. I would suggest you to take proper course of antihistamine drug along with short course of oral corticosteroids after proper prescription. Maintain hygiene as it could be due to fungal infection as well. Exfoliate your chin once in a week to remove the dead skin. If condition doesn't get better in a month then consult dermatologist again for proper diagnosis and to rule out any underlying condition. Doctor may prescribe isoteritenoin , steroid ointment or antibiotics course. Drink plenty of water to keep yourself hydrated.
