How Can Swelling In The Right Testicle Be Treated?

Husband had drug-induced testicular torsion 38 years ago. Was repaired by surgery. Two days ago he noticed swelling on the right testicle. Yesterday swelling was much worse. Today he said when he got up for work they were turned sideways, not twisted, just sideways. He says there has been no pain at all; no nausea; no weakness. He has no insurance. He just started a new job and hasn t received the insurance packet yet. If he goes to the emergency room I m sure we will never be able to pay that bill. I m at a loss about how to proceed. Please help.

Hi,
Welcome to Healthcaremagic.com.

I had gone through your question I can understand your concern.

Because he has gone the surgical procedure once does not mean it will be same condition.
Sometimes because of rotation or inflammation there is pain and swelling associated with it.
It can be simple orchitis or epididymitis too.

He can visit a general surgeon and get it evaluated to get proper diagnosis.

Hope my answer will help you and visit us back if you have any questions further.

Regards
Dr Muzaffer Hussain Parray.
