How Can Swelling In The Lower Lip Be Treated?

I got a mucocele removed from my lower lip 2days ago. Now its very swollen. What should I eat? How long the swelling take to go away?
Doctors said there was no chance of deformation, now it is looking visibly tilted where the mucocele was. Will there be deformation?

Hi..
Thanks of the query..

It looks like infection at the site of mucocele removal that is causing swelling of the lip as well as inflammation that is common post surgical procedure..

So my suggestion is to consult an Oral Physician and get evaluated and a course of antibiotics and anti-inflammatory painkillers like Ibuprofen or Naproxen can be advised..

Along with it a steroid shot can be given to reduce swelling faster..

Do cool compresses over the lip to reduce swelling..

Hope this helps..

Regards.
