How Can Swelling In The Lower Back Caused By An Injury Be Treated?
Hello, I ran into a fence on my dirt bike going 40 mph flipped over the handle bars and got slammed on the ground landing on my lower right back. I had servers swelling and bruising tat I haven t even seen before. I got x-ray nothing was broke and here it is 8 weeks later since the pain is still bothersome I got a CT scan. The dr s office called today and it was the desk person who told me that my CT showed no major damage to nerves or anything broken. I wasn t able to talk to the dr since he is off today. What could still be causing what feels like i am being poked with a hot needle all the time and hurts just to touch it and feels warm to the touch? Some of the swelling has gone down but its still swollen
It could be a contusion or hematoma. As of now you can use analgesics/anti inflammatory combination like Aceclofenac/Seratiopeptdase for symptomatic relief.
You can also apply ice packs for faster recovery. If symptoms persist, it is better to consult a physician and get evaluated.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain,
General & Family Physician
