How Can Stomach Upset And Indigestion Be Treated?

I had very bad stomach upset that was keeping me awake. The doctor prescribed 40 mg of omeprazole pills once a day. This worked very well for a period of time and then stopped helping me. I went to another doctor who gave me an n endoscopy test, which came back ok. I was put on 40 mg of Pantoprazole sod which also helped me for a period of time and stopped. I stopped taking those pills and since then I have had more severe problems recently and cannot digest most food and have problems sleeping. Can you help?

General Surgeon 's  Response
I would suggest you also get a colonoscopy and abdominal ultrasound done. If all is fine, then you can change your dietary habits like not taking much spicy foods, avoid smoking and alchohol, fasting for long periods, taking about 2 to 3 liters of water every day, take high fiber diet, avoid stress, do physical exercise, sleep well. All these will help you reduce gastric acidity, improve intestinal motility and help remove the abdominal pain.
