How Can Stiffness And Pain In The Joints Be Treated?
Hi, I suffer from stiff joints. The stiffness and pain rotate from one joint to another. Sometimes I feel the pain in the wrist, another day in the knees, and on another occasion in the shoulder. Sometimes one or more limps are paralyzed and I can move my legs or my hand. Is their a diagnosis for this situation?
Hi Thanks for posting on HCM That sounds like migratory arthritis. This type of arthritis move from one joint to the other. The first joint may at times start to feel better before before pain starts in another.Although it may affect people with other forms of arthritis, it can also result from serious illness.Migratory arthritis is most prevalent in cases of osteoarthritis, Rheumatoid arthritis, gout, lupus or other illnesses caused by bacteria and viruses.I will advise you see a Doctor for examination and tests like a full blood count, rheumatoid factor, ASLO for initial evaluation. Treatment options however will be with pain/anti-inflammatory medications depending on the intensity of the pain and myorelaxant, steroids occasionally and physiotherapy. The options to be chosen will depend on the clinical judgement of your Doctor. Hope my answer will help you Best regards
