How Can Spermatocele Be Treated?

I have a spermatocele, and inch or so in size, just diagnosed. Can I treat this with iodine vs. scheduling surgery? I have had one testicle removed a decade or so ago for testicular cancer. This cyst is irritating and painful, I think pressing up against a nerve. Thanks! Norm in CA

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

Surgical excision is the treatment of choice.

It is a simple procedure and can be done under local anesthesia.

Consult a general surgeon and he will direct you accordingly.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain,
General & Family Physician
