How Can Sore Throat While Suffering From Depression Be Treated?

Hi, I have been prescribed 5mg of lexapro as I have recently be diagnosed with depression. However I have been sick with a sore throats in the last few days that I have gotten off my sister who I know has strep throat. My doctor isn t open on Saturdays.so my question is I need a repeat prescription of lexapro and for a doctor to look at my throat. Can another doctor in a different medical centre prescribe me these antidepressants or do I have to go back to my own doctor as I can t afford to go twice and I really need to go to the doctor tomorrow as I don t feel well.

Consult a physician for this. A physician can examine you for sore throat and also he can give you the prescription for Lexapro also for few days till your psychiatrist is available. At present, you require antibiotics for sore throat, gargling with salt water will also help you.
