How Can Sore Throat And Itching In The Ears Be Treated?

I had a bad cold been 3 weeks and now have very sore throat, itchy ears and itchy on sides of lips. I know this sounds weird. In mornings I am coughing up junk but cough is subsiding some. I finished a z park and bottle of prescription cough medicine about 2 weeks ago.

Hi,
Thanks for posting in HCM.
I understand your concern.
Sore throat and itching sensation in ear can be overcome by doing the following.
1. Do salt water gargling with warm water twice daily.
2. Take decongestant medication containing Chlorpheniramine maleate and phenylephrine when necessary.
3. Use medicated lozenges, which will provide throat soothening effect.
Gradually, the symptoms will subside and you should be back to normal.
Hope the information provided helps.
All the best.
Regards,
