How Can Sore Throat And Ear Blockage Be Treated?
Several day I started to develop a fever blister next to my mouth. I treated it with Tea Tree Oil and it is now crusted over. Last night I started to get a sore throat, my ears are stopped up and I feel very stuffy. Are these a combination I should be concerned about, or just coincidence

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have sore throat and ear blockage . Well the symptoms you mention in query are pointing towards sore throat , which can be caused by bacterial or viral infection and ear blockage which occur due to stuck of mucus in eustachian tube also known as eustachian tube dysfunction . I would suggest you to consult ENT specialist for proper examination . Doctor may order test like viral culture test , throat swab test , examine ear with otoscope and blood test to confirm the diagnosis and rule out causes like acid reflux . Doctor may prescribe anti bacterial ( amoxicillin) or anti viral ( acyclovir ) depending upon the diagnosis along with decongestants . For now continue doing gargles and drink one spoon of honey mix with glass of lukewarm water . Take steam twice a day , apply dry warm compresses on ear and keep your ear dry while bathing.
