Hello sir, Your son is likely suffering from a personality disorder called avoidant personality disorder. Social inhibition accompanied by inferiority complex are present in such disorders. I would recommend counselling as a first line of therapy for your son. Social training, exposure therapy and cognitive behavioural therapy will definitely help your son. If the first line fails to bring any improvement, then we can think of medications. But for now, please consult a psychologist for counselling. Hope the above information helps. All the best for your son.
