How Can Small Lumps In The Breast Be Treated?

I am 51 years old. I developed small breast lumps as an adolescent and was told not to worry about them. Now one of them has gotten larger, more firm and is painful when I press on it, feeling like the cricks/lumps that I sometimes get in my shoulders. What do you think this is?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello dear
I understand your concern
Lumps on the breast could be due to fibroadenoma, fibrocystic disease and breast cancer
I would suggest to consult the general surgeon and undergo
breast examination, USG scan, USG guided FNAC.
If USG guided FNAC will come inconclusive then excision biopsy is the best.
Treatment will depend on the cause.
As you lump is increased in size and painful better to go for excision.
And lump should be sent for histopathology to confirm the nature of the lump.
Take inuprofen for the pain
Avoid stress, take healthy diet, drink plenty of water and do regular exercise
Hope this may help you
