Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

Your husband may have lactose intolerance. Does he experience bloating or diarrhea along with these symptoms?

Besides, keep in mind that red and itchy spots are just one symptom of various diagnoses, which must be confirmed by physical examination and direct support. The red and itchy spots you complain of can be caused by allergies, infections (fungi, viruses, bacteria, parasites) or other cases where the treatment of each diagnosis is quite different.

If it is because of allergies or due to certain body conditions, it cannot be completely lost because the mechanism of allergies will always appear during the things that cause the allergy and is about the person concerned. All your husband needs to know is the cause of this complaint, whenever it appears, so it can be avoided and prevented.

To eliminate itching for a while, your husband can consume Cetirizine and use topical cream that contains calamine or salicylic acid. And if it does not go away, please meet your nearest dermatologist.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Nurul Falah
