Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
How Can Skin Discoloration Due To A Bruise Be Treated?
I had a bruise on the skin that swelled up on last night playing basketball and I thought that it was a spider bite (for it looked that big). There was no pain on it unless I applied the pressure to it. I did put some ice on it last night and now I have the discoloration on my skin. I did go to the doctor today and he said that it can happen anywhere. He told me what it was but, since that time I forgot what it was and not I am trying to figure out what it is and then to find out if there is anything more that I can do about it to get the discoloration off from my skin. Can you please assist me in this trying to figure out what it could be and how to get my color back. He did say something (that starts with the letter H....). I can t remember what he said. Please advise. There is no need to answer my question/concern at all. I will have to get it by contacting my doctor who saw me today. Thanks.
hello,I just read your query and I feel from what described that you have probably haematoma or haemarthrosis of your knee joint and that will resolve gradually with time of 2-3 weeks. Just ty to use warm compresses and massage it with an analgesic ointment . Hope that serves your concern.
