How Can Skin Cut On The Finger Be Treated?

A little boy in my care cut his finger on a tin cup, I applied a 50% Isopropyl Alcohol and then some grapefruit seed extract. His parents will be here in about 35 minutes, will it be alright until they arrive, this is the first time a child has ever been cut with anything at my child care and I have been in business for 12 years. The item was a tin tea cup, it made the finger bleed just a little bit, But the fact that it is tin, there is no rust on the tin tea cup.
