How Can Sinusitis Along With Headaches Be Treated?

I have bad sinus pain for a few weeks. The headaches are excruciating & my eyes are swollen. I ve tried ice, Sinex, Sudafed & Claritin, plus nose spray. But none help you he headaches. Can I take a Percocet to help With the pain or will that make it worse?

Hi..

If you have such a severe sinus pain then it can be due to severe infection in your sinuses..
Blocked and inflamed sinuses causing sinus pressure can be a cause..

Percocet can help with the pain but along with it getting checked is a must for appropriate treatment.

I would suggest you to consult an Emergency room or an Otolaryngologist and get evaluated and a thorough clinical evaluation and investigations like PNS view x ray can help in diagnosis and treatment can be done accordingly..

You can be advised a course of antibiotics, decongestants like Pseudoephadrine, do saline nasal irrigation, steam inhalation and use a humidifier in your room..
You can also be advised decongestant nasal sprays containing Xylometazoline or Oxymetazoline..
Avoid spicy and chilled foods..
Do warm compresses around nostrils..
