How Can Side Effects Of Metoprolol And Hydrochlorothiazide Be Managed?

I have been on metroprololERsuccinate 25mg., amlopine besylate 2.5 mg, Lisinopril 5mg. and fosinopril 10mg. and have had bad side effects. Tiredness and pounding of head when lying down. I am now on metoprolol and hydrochlorothiazide 25mg . Same side effects. What do you suggest?

Hi,

Beta-blockers may cause generalized weakness and Hydrochlorothiazide may cause electrolyte imbalance.

But you may also check for viral fever, insomnia or hypothyroidism or anemia may present like generalized weakness and depression.

Drink plenty of water, check hemoglobin status, electrolyte level and thyroid profile.

Please consult your doctor, he will examine and treat you accordingly.
