How Can Severe Vomiting In A Child Be Treated?

My son is 3 year old and from today 3am onwards he is vomiting. Till 5am he already vomited 6 times, it was yellowish, smelly and even looked like cough was coming along the vomit. He even passed stool which was very watery. Should we just give him O2 syrup or should we consult a doctor? Please help.

Hi,

After reading your post, I would suggest that you should get him clinically examined by his paediatrician. A check on dehydration is important.
Give any medications after getting him clinically examined by his paediatrician. Give him light meals. Give him plenty of oral fluids to maintain hydration.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. R.A. Singh, Emergency Medicine Specialist
