How Can Severe Treatment-induced Leukoencephalopathy Be Treated?

I have severe treatment-induced leukoencephalopathy. was wondering what to do, who to see (specialist) and any other treatment. Am IV breast cancer with mets to brain, spine, chest wall. Had TCH treatment and 15 radiations (for the brain) All have been NED for 2+ years, now on brain MRI last month. Onco mentioned ned on the lesions of my brain, but did not discuss my options, if needed, for the leukoencephalopathy. I would like a second opinion. Can you point me in the right direction? Please!

Hi,

Treatment-related leukoencephalopathy is the leading toxicity after successful treatment of primary CNS lymphoma (PCNSL).

Myelin and axon loss, gliosis, pallor, spongiosis and rarefaction of the white matter may be found in histopathology.

Steroid and anti edema measures are useful.

Please consult your doctor, he will examine and treat you accordingly.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
