In high pain from what I ve begun to understand could be frozen shoulder . Very painful at night and is disrupting my happy sleep. Can t raise right arm half as high when doing; say; the chicken dance. Just won t go. I work in a steel mill & am having a hard time with numerous overhead tasks. I m 56 (but I m a bad azz) and golf season is practically here, and I can t swing without pain, dammit! Help!

Restriction in range of motion of shoulder could be frozen shoulder. However physical examination and xray to rule out arthritis is required to confirm diagnosis.
You can take Ibuprofen for pain. Apply heat compress to relax the muscles and joint Physical therapy and streching exercises help relieve symptoms of frozen shoulder.
If these measures are not helpful, steroid injection and surgery to release shoulder joint is used for treatment.
Please be advised to follow up with an orthopedician for proper management.
Hope I was able to answer your question Please feel free to address any more concerns Regards, Dr.Lekshmi
