Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My wife has two lower herniated discs in her back. She continues to be in severe pain (taking pain killer),but complains of continual severe pain with movement in bones in back. Has back brace, to compensate, but very little relief. In bed or reclining most of time. Anything else I can do to relieve her pain. Have appt. with neuro-spinal Dr. in two days, but she has been injured since Feb 5th and two visits to ER. Thanks.

How Can Severe Pain On The Back Be Treated?
Hello, As a first line management, you can take analgesics like Paracetamol or Aceclofenac for pain relief. If symptoms persist better to consult an orthopedician and plan for an MRI scan. Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further. Regards, Dr. Shinas Hussain, General & Family Physician
