How Can Severe Pain In The Knees Be Treated?

At work (2 days ago), I bumped my knee really hard. I felt as if my knee somehow went in & back out. It hurt at the moment, but as a teacher of 3yr olds, I had to forget about it & go on. The pain went away, but now when I bend that knee it sounds like a rubber band stretching. There is no pain though. What could my crazy knee be doing?

Hi and welcome to HCM!

Thanks for your questions.
Your knee pain following injury can be hairline fracture in bone or a ligament injury. So please get examined with orthopedic surgeon and get investigated. X-ray for knee joint and if ligament injury is suspected then an MRI of Knee joint will be required for further evaluation.

Hope this helps.

Take care
