How Can Severe Pain In The Knees Be Treated?

hi my name is Marlene and I m taking the medicine Celecoxib because of recent knee surgery. my question is after being given 2 doses daily at the hospital and my first night at home, is there a big difference in managing pain level if I don t take the 2nd dose? I seem to be having much more pain now and if its because of not taking the 2nd dose, in which I would ve taken it at bedtime, I would rather have taken it.

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

It can be an early sign of arthritis.

As a first line management you can take analgesics like paracetamol or aceclofenac for pain relief.

If symptoms persist better to consult an orthopaedician and plan for an MRI scan.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain,
