How Can Severe Pain In The Groin Be Treated?

I am Oxycodone 5 mg due to a debilitating pain in my groin. When the pain starts I need take 4 5mg tabs of the Oxycodone and at time0s I tak0e 10 to 12 tabs a day. The pains is due to a pinched nerve in the groin. I will be taking Gabapentin for the nerve pain. My question is can Gabapentin and Oxycodone be taken together? I understand it takes Gabapentin for several days before it becomes effective and it is impossible to go through the pain without Oxycodone. Thank you!
