How Can Severe Pain In The Back Be Treated?

I have suffered with back pain for 14years and every it gets worse. I had an MRI in 2009 and was diagnosed with herniated dics in the lower back L5 S (not sure what number ). In the past the pain might last from 1 month to maybe 2 but this time my back got bad in June of 2016 and on and of until October 2016 and has been consistent I never get a break from the pain. I have tried more prescribe painkillers like Tramadol Lyrca Tylex the list is never ending. I have had phyisothepy and I do the excerises as much as possible, I swim twice a week. What can I do to stop the pain. I am 48 years old and I have trouble dressing myself. My email address is YYYY@YYYY Please help

The other mode of treatment left which give you relief is surgery for the discs. You can consult local spine surgeon and plan for that.
