How Can Severe Pain In My Jaw Be Treated?

I m having severe pain, that came on suddenly in my jaw , behind my last miler and under my tongue . It s hard ti swallow and hurts outside and inside of my mouth , going into my ear. I ve been suck for 3 weeks with a respiratory infection that I thought was getting better, but really isn t. The pain is making my throat feel tight on just one side. My gum is very sore right in the crook of my jaw. I ve had a horse voice for a week and a wheezy cough. It really hurts when I bite down. It s not my tooth .

hello thanks for consulting at hcm..it could be infection f tonsils, and also u could have wisdom tooth erupting,,pericorinitis , this will cause problems as u have mentioned,, do a warm saline gargle, twice daily, take a course of antibiotics and analgesics, with bronchodilator cough syrup... it also be tmj involvement,,causing myofacial dysfuntion ..either ways if problm doesnt subside plz consult ur local dentist r oral maxillofacial surgeon...
