How Can Severe Pain Due To Spinal Fracture Be Treated?

Hello im a 56 year old women with copd. In February of this year i fell crushing 2 vertebrates and a spinal fracture. They where supposed to due surgery on July 7th but I came down with a cold. For 6 days now ive been in so much paiin my pain killers arent working i cant sleep. If i try and lay down my back just throbs what can i do.please help me

local application of heating pad and analgesic spray will work best till
the surgery is being carried out.
