General precautions to tackle
severe numbness :
- wear proper fitting shoes
- maintain your BP , Blood sugar, weight ,
cholesterol levels in control
- avoid walking bare foot
- regular walking , exercises , YOGA without failure
- avoid smoking / alcohol / any abuse substances
- immerse limb in lukewarm water when such things happen along with need
of analgesics,
gabapentin , methylcobalamine according to the case
evaluations by the Consultant.
- maintain hydration levels with plenty of liquids
- balanced diet rich in all nutrient with particular emphasis on protein ,
vitamins , minerals , anti-oxidants , trace elements like Zinc, Magnesium,
calcium, B complexes .
- when resting keep legs elevated for 30 degrees above 2-3 pillows .
