Thanks for contacting with your health concern
1. as you are a diagnosed case of stroke and taking
anticoagulant and antidepressant thus prior to treating hair loss, following points should be remembered:
- hair loss is a documented side effect of
warfarin and also data on its time course and on treatment is not available, so consult with your attending Physician as to how to tackle the problem [if this is the cause]
PS. As you are on warfarin, check with your INR [international normalized ration] level since high levels signify bleeding problems and low level predisposes to
thrombosis.
2.
Wellbutrin [bupropion] is primarily used as an antidepressant and in
smoking cessation aid and hair loss is an infrequent side effect of the medication occurring in 1 in 100 or 1 in 1000 people taking Wellbutrin.
3. you should talk with your doctor to know whether hair loss is due to the ADR [adverse drug reaction] of the drug or is there any underlying secondary cause:
hormonal or
fungal infection of the scalp.
4. In the meantime, some dietary and lifestyle changes which you can incorporate into your daily activities are:
. take high protein diet
. for hair bath, do not use very hot water.
. comb hair when they are dry, Wet hair is weak.
. dry the hair naturally, avoid blow dryer and strong heat.
. cover hair while traveling in the sun or on a scooter.
. Soap nut (reetha) and shikakai along with Bhringraj and Neelini oil act as a natural conditioner and you can use it safely.
PS. Initially one can start with Immunomodulation [Rasayan Chikitsa] Treatment and later restore to non- surgical hair replacement
